This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our mobile applications Marmiton AI and MyFinAi (collectively, "the Apps"). By downloading or using either App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Device Identifiers: We collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS / GAID on Android) and other device-level identifiers to serve relevant advertisements through our advertising partner InMobi.
  • Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the Apps, including features accessed, session duration, and in-app events.
  • Camera & Photo Library (Marmiton AI): With your explicit permission, the App accesses your camera or photo library solely to analyze fridge contents and generate recipes. Images are processed on-device or sent to our AI service and are not stored on our servers.
  • Financial Documents (MyFinAi): Bank or credit card statements you upload are processed exclusively to generate your spending analysis and budget. Uploaded documents are transmitted securely and are not retained after processing.
  • Technical Information: Device model, operating system version, app version, crash reports, and performance data for diagnostic purposes.

We do not collect your name, email address, or any information that directly identifies you unless you voluntarily provide it when contacting support.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, and improve the Apps' features and functionality.
  • To personalize your in-app experience (recipes, financial insights, budgets).
  • To display relevant advertisements via InMobi using your device identifier.
  • To diagnose technical issues and fix bugs.
  • To respond to your support requests.
  • To comply with applicable laws and regulations.

3. Advertising & Third-Party Services — InMobi

Both Marmiton AI and MyFinAi display advertisements served by InMobi. InMobi uses your device advertising identifier (IDFA / GAID) and related device signals to deliver interest-based ads.

InMobi operates as an independent data controller for the advertising data it collects. Its data practices are governed by InMobi's own privacy policy. To opt out of interest-based advertising at the device level, you can:

  • iOS: Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track", or use Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising to limit ad tracking.
  • Android: Go to Settings → Google → Ads and enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization".

We do not sell your personal data to InMobi or any other third party. InMobi receives only the device-level signals necessary for ad delivery.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: Trusted vendors who assist with app infrastructure, analytics, or AI processing, bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Advertising Partner (InMobi): Device identifiers and contextual signals for ad serving as described in Section 3.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users or the public.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data Retention

We retain usage and technical data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Financial documents and camera images are not stored on our servers after processing is complete.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit and access controls for data at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; however, we take reasonable precautions to protect your information.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Apps are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us at the address below.

8. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I delete my data?

Email us at akillicelebitur2@icloud.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". We will process your request within 30 days.

Is my financial data safe in MyFinAi?

Yes. Uploaded bank or credit card statements are transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and are deleted from our servers immediately after your analysis is generated. We never store your financial documents.

Does Marmiton AI store my food photos?

No. Photos you take or upload are processed to identify ingredients and generate recipes, then discarded. We do not retain images on our servers.

Why do I see ads in the Apps?

Both Apps are supported by advertising from InMobi. Ads help us keep the Apps free. You can limit interest-based advertising through your device's privacy settings (see Section 3 of our Privacy Policy above).

How do I report a bug?

Please email us at akillicelebitur2@icloud.com with a description of the issue, your device model, and the App version. Screenshots or screen recordings are always helpful.
